On a recent trip to Maui, I was reminded again of one of my favorite Hawaiian daily rituals of gathering to watch the sunset. Each day there is an anticipation as the sun slowly lowers towards the horizon. People pause, gather, and plan where they will be to watch the sunset.
There is a quiet hush as the sun begins to set, and I always have a feeling of wonder, and connection to nature’s beauty… a celebration for the day’s end.
