In the small village of Chimayo nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountians of New Mexico stands the adobe Chapel called the Lourdes of America. Pilgrims come from all over the world seeking a miracle at the chapel, to partake of the sacred dirt in the small annex next to the chapel. I took this picture outside the chapel where there are many small altars around the grounds. I like the simplicity of the cross, the "Healing Cross".
