The Ethiopian Monastery compound is located on the roof of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the Old City of Jerusalem’s Christian Quarters. The low round-walled buildings and trees of the compound offer a distinctly African feel. I was drawn to the green door and cross markings when I took this image.
