Mary faithfully stands watch over the inspiring St. Benedict's Painted Church
on The Big Island of Hawaii. St. Benedict's Painted Church is rightfully named
because its ceilings are brightly painted with biblical scenes by a Belgian
priest in the early 1900's. Mary is adorned with beads and shells, typical for
visitors to the Church. This is why I named her "Beaded Mary."
